• What are the written policies and terms governing discipline, accidents and illness? Ask to view them.
• Meet the caregivers, supervisors and teachers.
• What are the staff trained in? What qualifications are they required to have obtained? What are the staff ratios?
• Is there a paediatrician who has regular visits or on staff? Ask to meet them.
• Are there any written plans for learning activities? Is there a usual daily schedule?
• How varied are the activities? Does the child have the freedom to choose between them?
• Is the childcare properly accredited by the appropriate government bodies?
